Why we made it free
More people knowing their footprint is good for the climate and good for us — some of those visitors go on to offset with Carbon Shredder. That's the whole deal: you get a genuinely useful tool for your readers, we get a quiet credit at the bottom.

Is the widget really free?
Yes — free to embed on any site, with no signup, no API key and no usage limit. We include a small 'Powered by Carbon Shredder' link at the bottom, which is how it pays for itself.
Does it slow down my page?
No. The script is tiny, loads asynchronously, and the iframe is lazy-loaded, so it doesn't block your page rendering.
Does it set cookies or track my visitors?
The loader script sets no cookies. The widget itself is a plain iframe on our domain; visitors only ever reach our site if they choose to click through.
Can I change the size?
The widget is fully responsive and fills the width of whatever container you put it in. It reports its own height, so it resizes automatically as visitors answer questions.
